CTUIR COVID-19 ICT Update | 1.20.2021

To date, Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center has received just over 2,050 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. To be fully vaccinated you must have two doses. This means Yellowhawk will fully vaccinate 1,025 people by the end of February.

Today, the East Oregonian released a story stating that the clinic has received 2,050 vials. This is incorrect. YELLOWHAWK HAS RECEIVED 2,050 DOSES.

A few important things to note:

• During the month of December and into January, health care workers, first responders and CTUIR elders over the age or 65 received their vaccination at Yellowhawk. • We are beginning to vaccinate people aged 16 and older with underlying health conditions. • WE HOPE TO BEING VACCINATING THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE SOON. As soon as we have more information on the process, we will post it here.

Additionally, you can look to the Yellowhawk website by clicking here: “!! LATEST COVID-19 INFO” for important updates including community metrics. Those numbers are updated every day around noon and represent the previous business day’s totals.

A friendly reminder that Monday, Yellowhawk & the tribal government were closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day and there was no testing information to report.

YTHC is reporting 1 new case for Wednesday.

The next food distribution is scheduled for January 31st! Details coming soon!
